Mission Two
This multi-player first-person exploration game let’s you set foot on Mars as part of the second human mission to the Red Planet. Cooperate or compete with up to 8 players to complete missions on the ground, to find out it humans or assisted-robots are the best way to explore Mars. Download this 3D game and feel what it’s like to walk on Mars.

Installation Instructions
Download file and click "Save to My Computer"
Unzip the file and run Setup.exe. Once the installer has finished, double-click the Mission Two icon (or select Start->Programs->Race to Mars->Mission Two->Play Mission Two)

Important Note:
Your firewall may block network connectivity when attempting to engage a multiplayer game. If you have trouble connecting, try minimizing the game (using ALT-TAB) and verify that your firewall software has not prompted you with a dialog behind the game, asking you to take action. If it has, instruct your firewall to allow connectivity and then and press ALT-TAB again to return to the game. Proceed to try again and you should now be able to establish a multiplayer connection.

Behind the Scenes
This richly realized game lets you walk on the surface of Mars as part of the second Human Mission to Mars. Set after the events of Race to Mars, this first-person game lets you see what it’s like competing missions in person or using tele-operated robotics. Compete against or cooperate with your friends in real-time as you walk the surface of the planet. Download the game and run it in Server-mode to play with your friends or other players from anywhere across the internet.

Some plans for Mars call for secondary and tertiary missions to make use of the base-camp established by the first mission, simply adding supplies and equipment to save on what needs to be shipped from Earth. In “Mission Two”, you’ll use the habitat and equipment from the Race to Mars mission as the base for your explorations of the surface. This game also lets you explore some of the ways proposed to cut down on risk to astronauts, such as telerobotics operated on-site (allowing real-time control that isn’t possible from far-away stations on Earth).
